Nau Mai, Haere Mai
Meri Kirihimete and Christmas cheer to all, we hope this finds you well, as these 'interesting times' continue. Our office closes next Thursday, 23 December, and then we'll be back on deck on Monday 17 January.
We're scattered all over the place at the moment so here's a smiling team shot without the boss from earlier this crazy year...
Christmas Giving supports community
Pūniu River Care have received a Christmas gift...
Craig’s Investment Partners partners with Community Foundations of New Zealand, Momentum Waikato’s national ‘peak body’, to run an annual ‘Christmas Giving’ programme aimed at supporting community groups around the country.
The collaborative approach sees each regional Community Foundation nominate a list of proven charitable and for-purpose organisations, and then their local Craig’s branch selects a number of them to receive a monetary Christmas gift.
The focus for 2021 is youth, environment and mental health. Six community organisations in the Waikato have received donations they weren’t expecting of between $1,000 and $5,000 each.
Here to Help u here for Christmas
'Here to help u' has now supported over 20,000 people and whānau. This transformational online service is an easy way for anyone to reach the community support services in their area.
Momentum Waikato has been proud to support the project, particularly through our partnership with the Wise Group at the Houchen Wellness Village in Glenview. Congratulations to everyone involved.
They're working through the Christmas-New Year holiday period, so folks can continue to get the free wellbeing and social support they need. Spread the word whānau!

Waikato Regional Theatre – 2021 Gifts
Even in the midst of challenging times, the generosity in our community endures. The Waikato Regional Theatre campaign has been delighted to receive the following new pledges of financial assistance in the latter part of 2021.
SIR WILLIAM AND LADY JUDI GALLAGHER FOUNDATION
In October of this year this legendary local couple made a significant personal commitment to the Theatre, adding to the already generous support from the Gallagher Group and John and Glenice Gallagher.
“We believe the Theatre will be a wonderful asset for Hamilton and the wider Waikato community,” says Sir William. “It is great to see the Theatre’s design incorporating visual aspects of the beautiful Waikato River.”
MURRAY PORTER AND THE PORTER GROUP
From humble beginnings and with a lot of hard work, Porter Group is now one of the largest distributors of heavy machinery in Oceania, a world-leader in the field of breaking ground.
Murray and the team have a strong community focus and have recently committed significant support to the Waikato Regional Theatre.
