The Waikato Community Rugby Fund is designed to build a stronger, more sustainable future for community rugby across the Waikato.

Established in 2020, the Fund provides an opportunity for supporters to make a lasting contribution to the future of the game by helping build a dedicated pool of funding for community rugby.

At its heart, this Fund is about keeping rugby accessible to our communities and ensuring every child has the opportunity to experience the game, regardless of their circumstances.

The Waikato Community Rugby Fund is currently in growth phase, attracting donations and building capital, before distributions will be made to initiatives that help to grow the community game, with a particular focus on ensuring rugby is the most attractive sporting option for junior players in our region.

Donations help create greater long-term certainty for community rugby, strengthening the foundations of the game and helping Waikato Rugby respond to the changing needs of clubs, schools, players, volunteers and families across the region.

Rather than relying solely on short-term funding, the Fund is designed to build a lasting source of support for community rugby. Every contribution helps grow that foundation and invest in the future of the game.
