For ninety-odd Waikato high school students, it was a moment in time that opened a window to the possibilities of their futures and could be a turning point in their lives.

Inspiration creates transformation and Stan Walker is living proof that where you start in life need not dictate where it takes you.

We were sure that Stan’s presentation would be a success, but all of us on the Momentum Waikato team were genuinely moved and struck by the spirit and aroha in Zeal’s main hall on that mid-October day. Our expectations were hugely exceeded and it made us proud to be working for such a visionary organisation.

Stan was joined by Mike Chunn of Play It Strange, the leading support agency for young NZ songwriters, for this life experience and music performance workshop hosted by Zeal Hamilton and Momentum Waikato.

The pair topped it all off with a media conference at Embassy Park to throw their support behind the Waikato Regional Theatre. The coverage was entirely positive and ran in the print editions for a week.
