Donations and Gifts-in-Wills to the Coromandel & Colville Future Fund support charitable activities and projects in Tairua, Pāuanui and the area inland towards Hikuai, as identified by a team of locals.
The Coromandel & Colville Future Fund is one of six Coromandel Future Funds, the others are the Mercury Bay Future Fund, the Tairua & Pāuanui Future Fund, the Thames Future Fund and the Whangamatā Future Fund, plus the Coromandel Peninsula Future Fund, which covers the entire district.
The Coromandel & Colville Future Fund provides residents and visitors with the opportunity to donate now, or give through your Will, to a locally driven funding vehicle dedicated to the top of the Peninsula.
As with all endowments managed by community foundations like Momentum, the Coromandel & Colville Future Fund is being built up through donations and bequests, and then its investment income.
The scale and therefore diversified risk profile of Momentum’s professionally managed investment portfolio, which is made up of dozens of such funds, provides better returns and greater distributions than a single trust or small community could achieve alone.
With enough backing from locals, the Coromandel & Colville Future Fund will be able to quickly grow to a size where it can start making distributions, and as a ‘place based’ fund it will be able to address potentially any local need.
The generosity and vision of people who choose to leave a legacy or donate now can make so much more possible. If locals in a comfortable financial position invest in their community through the Coromandel & Colville Future Fund, we will see huge possibilities become a reality.
Please consider a gift to the Coromandel & Colville Future Fund - your generosity will go further, forever.
MORE INFO TO COME.
Coromandel & Colville Future Fund explained.
The Coromandel & Colville Future Fund provides residents and visitors with the opportunity to donate and bequest to a philanthropic investment fund that is, and always will be, focused on the prosperity, wellbeing, sustainability and vibrancy of the Coromandel and Colville community.
It is a ‘place based’ endowment fund led and driven by committed locals and professionally managed by the Momentum Waikato Community Foundation. The Fund’s committee is made up of three local ‘fund champions’ and two representatives from Momentum.
This community-based funding instrument will grow through both the donations and gifts-in-Wills (bequests) it receives, AND its investment income, which is secured and amplified by the scale of Momentum Waikato’s regional endowment fund.
When the Fund reaches a base balance of $50,000, the committee will start annual distributions of a majority portion of its investment income via grants to projects and programs benefiting Coromandel and Colville, with the rest of the income being re-invested to continue its growth.
One-off and ongoing donations and bequests to the Fund are invited from anyone and everyone who wishes to provide positive long-term support to Coromandel and Colville.
